License agreement makes Leveraxe history in North America
The Finnish Vipukirves Heikki Oy company has made a license agreement with Truper™, a Mexican Hardware Supplier and Tool manufacturing company. They supplies retailers throughout Mexico and the Latin American market in addition to the United States and Canada. Truper™ has licensed the production and sale of the Leveraxe for the North American consumer market. Truper is a privately held company and employs over 7000 associates worldwide.
This agreement is important step for the Finnish Leveraxe product which invented by Mr. Heikki Kärnä. High production costs have slowed the international growth of the Vipukirves Heikki Oy. This agreement allows Leveraxe now to be competive against other similar products internationally. The North American market is expected to yield a considerable sales volumes. Leveraxe has already been sold in North America, however the volume has been low due to higher retail price points which resulted from high distribution costs and lower volume manufacturing.
In connection with the License Agreement negotiations, Vipukirves Heikki Oy’s representatives visited Truper™ in Mexico and were impressed by the production facility. The factory is very modern, operates in very large scale as a diversified production unit, where both the conditions of workers and the quality of the products are excellent. The factory is a highly experienced and skillful hand tolls manufacturer, whose staff are obviously proud of their employer and the products.
The first full production run from Mexico has arrived in Finland on 3th of November 2016. Mexican-made Leveraxe is high quality product with a price point suitable for all major markets. Retail sales of this new product has launched in Finland and abroad.
Manufacturing in Finland in short series will be continued and all Leveraxe models are available in Vipukirves web shop. Our goal is that the Leveraxe manufactured in Mexico will become a successful product in the international market with significant sales volumes. We also seek to contribute to growth in the use of renewable energy.
